His adopted sister Libby (Magicstar Liberte Puymeras), the white caniche-sized standard, inherited the Alpha Dog position in 2003 after nearly three years of letting Alex think he was in charge. Barkley (Pleasant Paws RoundMoundoBound), pictured below, is Alex's great-great grandnephew and became the current Alpha Dog after a three year apprenticeship (during which he was the bane of Libby's existence) upon her passing in 2009.
